Blues Piano Volume 2 example 7

Here is one of the more popular licks that you guys ask me about. The key to getting this blues lick under your fingers is to isolate the lick into several smaller parts. I do this with all of the licks teach. By breaking it down into smaller segments, you can work to master individual parts so that when you put it all together it will be easy to play the entire lick. This is also a great way to build confidence as you come to find out that licks that look (and sound) complicated are actually pretty easy if you learn to practice them the right way.
