Here is a great exercise I give my students to learn how to do a walking bass line while playing comping chords in the right hand. This example is moving from a C7 to an F7 which happens in the first 2 measure of jazz blues progression in the key of C. This example shows the necessary fingering when looping the 2 measures. Email me at if you would like the chart that accompanies the video. Also, if you would like to take your playing to the next level I would encourage you to visit our store at for products related to jazz and blues playing. Thanks so much for checking out the lesson.
