Many of you know that I am launching an ear training course for adults on September 22nd. This will cover all areas of training the ear as well as using the videos for “Pitchnotics”. For Adults, the goal is to have greater pitch awareness through “focus” on individual pitches, especially on your instrument. I say this to all of my students “Your ear is better than you think”. While it is true that relative pitch is the most important skill, musicians need to also be aware of their center of pitch. By learning how to listen in this course, you will learn how to use pitch awareness and memorization combined with relative pitch to “Re-wire” your center of pitch. I would like to encourage you to sign up for information at Pitchnotics.com I will be sending out pre-launch material and training sessions to prove to you that you can memorize pitches and have greater pitch awareness. Try this first example out by listening to this “passively” or while sleeping and then wake up and see if you can sing the pitch “C”.
